Pakistan’s First Social Commerce Platform “BazaarGhar” Launched.
Social commerce is an emerging phenomenon across the world that gained momentum during COVID-19 and is witnessing unprecedented interest and engagement across social sites.
Vintega Solutions – a startup formed in the year 2020 with a clear vision to promote social commerce in Pakistan and give online shoppers a brand-new shopping experience – is entering Pakistan’s social commerce scene through their upcoming platform “BazaarGhar”.
Bazaar Ghar is a business-to-consumer (B2C) social commerce platform encouraging video-based selling and live shows. Vendors will be allowed to run their advertisement videos to better demonstrate the products. The platform is expected to be the next influencer platform to promote and market new products by the vendors.
Features of BazaarGhar are tailor-designed for the people of Pakistan, encouraging transactions using local and regional languages. The company is also planning to deliver internationally, giving overseas Pakistanis an option to enjoy “Bazaar walee shopping.”
Sharing his thoughts on the venture, CEO BazaarGhar, Asjad Abdul Lateef, said, “BazaarGhar empowers local talent to showcase local products and use them as a stepping stone before going global. The primary market is to be tested in Pakistan. In our first round, limited seller slots are available; we want to go slow but perform effectively.”
“We want people to experience shopping from the comfort of their homes and the motto is “bazaar walee shopping from the comfort of their homes” We want to go international with the tag “Made in Pakistan in our second round.” We are a mix of local and international brands,” he added. Asjad has over 17 years of experience in accounting, assurance, business advisory, and corporate restructuring.
Mr. Adel AbdelAziz, Chairman of the board and a prominent businessman based out of Dubai, said, “I am always an advocate of the massive investments and business opportunities coming out of Pakistan. Pakistan, an emerging nation with the youngest average population in the world has a definitive appetite for market places that think out of the box and focus on customer experience and engagements using technologies (including AI) available to platforms”.
Founding members, from Pakistan and the Middle East, are funding this project and the MVP, under the name “BazaarGhar”, has been launched.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), BazaarGhar supports initiatives like Deaftawk, Women Empowerment, and Mahnush under the name of ‘The League of Extraordinary Talent.’ The community building has been initiated and the platform intends to support the talent without charging them any fee against it and helping them to stand as independent and financially stable entrepreneurs.
